Popular actress, skilled photographer, and successful real estate developer, Diane Keaton celebrates her 66th on January 5th with a film to be released later this year – Darling Companion co-starring Kevin Kline and Dianne Wiest.  She’s currently filming The Big Wedding with Robert DeNiro and has two other comedies in the works, including one with Steve Martin.  Obviously, Ms. Keaton has not decided it’s time to retire.  That’s a good thing for those of us who enjoy seeing adult women on the silver screen.

Keaton’s break-out performance in Annie Hall in 1977 delivered her first Academy Award and we’ve all loved growing through our lifestages with her in movies such as Father of the Bride, The First Wives Club, and Something’s Got to Give

Keaton became a single mom in 1996 with the adoption of a daughter followed by a son in 2001.  She became the face of L’Oreal cosmetics in 2006 and was a cover girl on the Chico’s catalog this past year.  Accepting of her laugh lines, Keaton has grown old naturally and beautifully.

When she hit 60, her post at The Huffington Post on “The Upside of Turning 60″ noted, “There is great value in being fearless.”  “I wish I had put myself out there a bit more and experienced people more instead of of pretecting myself.”  She seems to be succeeding.

Happy Birthday Annie Hall!
