Anna Quindlen – July 8, 1953
Author of Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake, iMinerva’s Book of The Month, Anna Quindlen is known for her personal perspective columns in the New York Times and Newsweek, as well as for being a talented, best-selling novelist. One of my favorite Quindlen novels is Still Life with Bread Crumbs, a humorous and warm story of romance and unexpected mid-life experiences. Another novel, One True Thing, became a movie starring Meryl Streep and earning the actress an Oscar nomination. In 1992, Quindlen received the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for her op-ed series in the NYT.
The mother of two sons and a daughter, Quindlen recounts memorable life stories that have meaning to us all.
Happy 62nd birthday, Anna.
